Itinerary
- Karlstejn Castle: Your private guide and driver will pick you up at your Prague place. After 45 min of comfortable drive you reach Karlstejn village. Starting from there you walk up to the castle about 20 min (elevation 170 ft). Explore the courtyards and enjoy 1h public guided tour of the Imperial Palace in English. It served as a seat of the caesar and his court (joining a group, castle is closed on Mondays, in winter months & limited in spring / autumn). Other public guided tours (Holy Cross Chapel, 100 min) are optional. This unique place is full of stories and legends. One of them says that the castle was built only for secular and sacred purposes of the king, therefore to be able to meditate, women were forbidden from entering. Details
