This exhibition showcases over 100 artifacts from the Palace Museum, introducing the architecture and cultural significance of the Qing Dynasty Forbidden City.Gallery 2 - From Dawn to Dusk: Life and Art in the Forbidden City: The Forbidden City was the main residence of the emperors and empresses of the Ming and Qing dynasties. Featuring more than 300 exquisite 18th-century artifacts from the Palace Museum, this exhibition offers insight into daily life from morning to night, exploring the rich material and spiritual world of those within the palace.Gallery 3: Brilliance: Ming Dynasty Ceramic Treasures from the Palace Museum, 1368–1644: This exhibition features over 100 representative Ming dynasty ceramic pieces from the Palace Museum, organized into three sections. Through shape, glaze, and decorative patterns, it showcases the development and achievements of early, mid, and late Ming dynasty ceramic craftsmanship. This exhibition is jointly organised by the Hong Kong Palace Museum and the Palace Museum. The Hong Kong Palace Museum donors Mr Lawrence Chan, master of the Dawentang Collection, and Mr Anthony Cheung, owner of the Huaihaitang Collection, provided generous support to this exhibition.Gallery 4: The Hong Kong Jockey Club Series: The Art of Armaments — Qing Dynasty Military Collection from The Palace Museum: This exhibition features approximately 190 Qing dynasty military artifacts from the Palace Museum, including helmets, bows and arrows, swords, horse equipment, paintings, textiles, illustrated manuals, and scientific instruments. Visitors can explore the vibrant and fascinating world of Palace Museum motifs and experience the endless charm of traditional Chinese culture in a digital environment. The exhibitions are co-organized by the Hong Kong Palace Museum and the Palace Museum in Beijing, with exclusive support from the Public Welfare and Charity Research Institute.－ Special Exhibition Details －Gallery 8: “Treasures of the Mughal Court – Collections from the Victoria and Albert Museum, London” (August 6, 2025 – February 23, 2026)Co-organized by the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Hong Kong Palace Museum, this is Hong Kong’s first large-scale comprehensive exhibition showcasing the art of the Mughal Empire (1526–1857). The exhibition features over 100 precious artifacts from the Mughal Empire’s golden age, highlighting its diverse artistic styles and craftsmanship at its peak. Items come from the Victoria and Albert Museum in the UK, as well as major collections in Kuwait, the UK, Hong Kong, and other international institutions. Exhibits include paintings, jewelry, architectural components, weapons, textiles, ceramics, and more. Additional items are provided by the Hong Kong Palace Museum, the Chris Hall Collection at the Hong Kong Palace Museum, and Hong Kong Dream Butterfly Pavilion.Gallery 9: “Ancient Egypt Unveiled: Treasures from Egyptian Museums” (November 20, 2025 – August 31, 2026)The largest and most comprehensive exhibition of Ancient Egyptian artifacts ever held in Hong Kong, featuring 250 precious items on loan from the Egyptian Supreme Council of Antiquities, collected from its seven affiliated museums. The exhibition also presents the latest major archaeological discoveries from Saqqara, the vast necropolis of Memphis in southern Cairo. Spanning nearly 4,000 years, the collection includes colossal statues, steles, mummy coffins and masks, jewelry, daily-use items, and animal mummies, many of which are displayed outside Egypt for the first time, making them of high historical and academic value. The exhibition is co-organized by the Hong Kong Palace Museum and the Egyptian Supreme Council of Antiquities, fully supported by the museum’s strategic partner Bank of China (Hong Kong), with Cathay Pacific as the main sponsor..
