  • Karatay Medresesi Museum: The Karatay Medrese, formerly an Islamic university, houses excellent faience works of art from the Seljuk era. The first carpet manufacturers whose products inspired world traveler Marco Polo were also located in Konya.
  • Mevlana Muzesi: Today's Mevlana Museum (Turkish Mevlânâ Müzesi) is the mausoleum of Jalāl ad-Din ar-Rūmī with the attached lodge of the Mevlevi Dervish Brotherhood, in Turkish Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi Türbesi ve Dergahi, in Konya, Turkey, the former capital of the Sultanate of Rum -Seljuks. The Mevlâna is a Sufi mystic, also known as Mavlâna or Rumi. It was also the Dervish Hut of the Mevlevi Order, better known as the Whirling Dervishes. Sultan Ala al-Din Keykubbad, the Seljuk Sultan who invited Mevlana to Konya, offered his rose garden as a suitable place to bury Rumi's father, Baha ud-Din Walad, when he died on January 12, 1231.
