The architecture and design of the theatre were replicated numerous times during the Roman Empire, and it influenced many significant buildings, including the symbol of Rome, the Colosseum, which was built many years later in 72 AD.
  • Foro Boario: The Forum Boarium was one of the oldest and most important marketplaces in ancient Rome. According to legend, Hercules reached this area with Geryon’s oxen, only to have them stolen by the giant Cacus, who lived in a cave at the foot of the Aventine Hill. This area features significant ancient monuments, including the Temple of Fortuna Virilis and the Temple of Hercules Victor.
