The fair has evolved from a small gathering of hippie friends selling their crafts to an open market with artisans highlighting their works. Chances are you will end up buying much more than you expected and still have a good deal of money left over for a few Caipirinhas.

The “Feirinha de Ipanema”, as the locals like to call it, is the perfect place to find a good bargain. Bikinis, hand-made accessories, ceramic figurines, embroidery, lace, gemstones – are just a few examples of what you may find there.
